Now You Know

Now You Know

You think you have known love

With its harmonies

And contrasts

Lightly touched strokes of emotions

That painted their colours

Into your mind

A tapestry of longing and silence

Yet like snowflakes

Love was so fragile

Ever fleeting

Soft ripples of memory

Always drew you back

You existed

In an uneasy

Nervous tumult

And then you found him

He, who with his silence

Spoke to you of those things

That forever haunted you

And now you know

Why yesterday

Has followed you everywhere
