Breath Of Morning

Breath Of Morning

Violets blanket the moon

And there is an unbroken dark

The vines are wild yet beautiful

A verdant waltz

In the embrace of a blue lake mist

All the air around grows tremulous

In the voiceless night

And sweeps over me

Silence speaks a thousand words

A sweet song of memory

Moonlight skin

Midnight reflections

Then stumbling over beauty

The day steals in

Like a whisper

And dawn delivers up her breath

A deepening stain of crimson

In ageless splendour
