The Face of Heaven
My sweet love
You have vanished
Shadows pass me
I don’t feel them
Our memories
Are intertwined
And sometimes
I sit in a lonely place
And grieve
For what I have lost
No one can know me more
Not projecting
Or connecting
But reflecting
It was not so long ago
But now
I am caught in darkness
Locked in the mirror
But since time
Decrees what falls
And the colours of the day
Move on
My thirst I shall endure
Soon the wind
Will blow through me
And I shall take leave
Into the blue
To roam the endless skies
Like a tempest
In search of the face of heaven
That was so lovely
To find
The face of hope again
And once more
My sweet love
To look into your eyes

That was softly beautiful to read. Felt every line
