I Dream

I Dream

As I sit alone

I dream

That sometimes you

Belong to me

Our sky is blue

With shades of grey

And our clouds

Are tipped with crimson

I dream

That sometimes you

Belong to me

Our cherry trees

Are burdened with blossoms

And sweetly shadowed

By the falling light

I dream

That sometimes you

Belong to me

That our seasons

Are yet to flow

Like the birds might fly

To live in warmer climes

I dream

That sometimes you

Belong to me

But like roses slightly faded

On their silken stems

Their heads hung silent

In the wind

Sometimes

Dreams deceive
