Like Whispers In the Grass

Like Whispers In The Grass

You were only mine

Within a waking dream

That was woven

Strand by silver strand

By the ever watchful moon

Darkness, was ever my light

And we were like the blossoms

Of endless night

That kissed and flew apart

To fly as if on broken wings

And then, crushed by shadows

It was our time

To fall, like ash on meadows

And to fade

 Like whispers in the grass
