Time Enough For Love

Time Enough For Love

I stand and stare into the mirror

But keep my reality inside

The traces of you

In the hallways of my mind

Sorrow has become beautiful

Your scent imprinted

A familiar scar

And your voice

Strikes long unused chords

In my soul

I remember snowflakes

Melting on your lips

The brushing of a finger

A breath beneath viridian silk

Falling, but not yet fallen

Promises broken long ago

Winding rivers of thought

Running from the outside in

Waves crash around my heart

The currents twisting

And turning inside of me

The heart already holds

What the mind can only long for

You create the softness

In my memories

The slow pulse of an easy day

And that constant feeling

That there will be time enough for love

Even thousand tears later

For many are the dreams

Yet to be fulfilled
