Choka – Loss (The Leaves Are Falling Again)

Choka – Loss (The Leaves Are Falling Again)

How many days love

How many seasons shall pass

The rivers are still flowing

Sun rises night falls

I feel your breath on my skin

Your eyes still haunt me

The leaves are falling again

Another ending

Cold winds scatter them afar

These sorrowful days

But they tumble together

Resisting the flow

These autumn days pain me love

I stand ‘til light fades

Follow each leaf as it falls

Then one finds its mate

They rush tangled together

Into the darkness

My heart leaps I shed a tear

I walk away in silence

    1. Haha! I find it impossible to type properly on a phone (it sounds like that’s what you were doing!) so I sympathise! And thank you for the feedback – I felt this one deeply when I was writing it too – a quiet Sunday afternoon last week with a glass of wine!
