Our Midnight Garden

Our Midnight Garden

Between red folds of velvet

I roll you off my tongue

We are swept away

In the currents

Our passion

Tender like water

Engulfs everything

Rivers flow unseen

In our midnight garden

As a sweet petal

Unfurling, spills over

To where our sighs have flown

Waves return to the shore

And here we are

Here we exist

Like stars exploding

Between our fingers

These sparks will catch

Into languid, liquid, flames

And the moon-shadows deepen

In the fragrant pool

Of desire
