Things Decay

Things Decay

Things decay

Night and day

Are slipping away

Like all tomorrows

A sad place

Abandoned

Cliffside ruins

Sea fog

Walking on Rocks

A distant bell

Endings

Things decay

Night and day

Are slipping away

Like all tomorrows

Bare branches

And dry leaves

Forlorn sighs

From distant trees

The shadow of a bird

Swooping low

In flight

Things decay

Night and day

Are slipping away

Like all tomorrows

The sky is dark

With broken clouds

A winding path

Stepping-stones

Through fallen leaves

A world without colour

A secret unshared

Things decay

Night and day

Are slipping away

Like all tomorrows

    1. Thanks Helen…it’s a bit of a dreary one isn’t it? It’s one of those fragments from a dream poems, just kind of put together randomly but still seems to make sense 🙂
