Falling Endlessly

Falling Endlessly

The night bends near

In deepening shades of indigo

Soft as velvet

Like beauty

Held ageless in winter’s breath

Blossoms mingle

With the fragrance of moonlight

Clinging on desire’s wall

I am drenched

 Like the shivering petals

That rise and fall

On the waves of your sea

We let the quiet take us there

Ever climbing

Then falling

Endlessly

Flooding out in the silence

I seem to feel you

Everywhere

And you fill all of me

Finally I am released

We float away

As the leaves in the stream

Moonlight and shadow

Ebb and flow

I become the candle

And find myself

Melting

Into the dark and endless depths

 Of your eyes
